Randy Kroszner

Randall S. Kroszner, PH.D

Randy served as a Governor of the Federal Reserve System from March 2006 until January 2009. He chaired the committee on Supervision and Regulation of Banking Institutions and the committee on Consumer and Community Affairs. In these roles, he took a leading role in developing responses to the financial crisis and in undertaking new initiatives to improve consumer protection and disclosure. From 2001 to 2003, Randy was a member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Financial Research Advisory Committee in the Office of Financial Research at the US Treasury. He is a member of the board of the Paulson Institute and is a member of the CME Group’s Competitive Markets Advisory Council. He has served as a professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business since 1990, and received his masters and PhD, both in economics, from Harvard University.
